Dance piece supported by PREMIO SCHWEIZ

18'min version presented in Les Quarts d'Heure de Sévelin, plateforme pour jeune chorégraphe- Théâtre Sévelin 36, 25-26-27 November 2021 and Belluard Bollwerk Fribourg, 30 June 2022.

"Bolero de Bienvenida" or how to welcome what scares us. Here the body, the space, the songs and the objects are on the same level. This work seeks to decentralize the figure of the performer by perceiving the choreographic material as a living entity.
One attends a body which seeks again and again to dialogue with what surrounds it and with oneself, like a state of emergency game
when the earth shakes under its feet.
It seems that when someone dies, it is the sound of his or her voice that is forgotten first.

In Bolero de Bienvenida, Lorena Stadelmann continues her research around the voice. She chooses singing as a performative tool to insert a story or narrative material inside her choreographies.

Collector of megaphones, she uses these objects to amplify her voice. Singing a lullaby through a megaphone as a claim to sensitivity and poetry.

For Bolero de Bienvenida, Lorena Stadelmann continues to develop her visual work through her research into textile practices by making masks, costumes and scenographic elements.
